CATEGORIZATION

Content Analyst technology eliminates the time-consuming burden of content categorization and enables knowledge workers to focus on their primary objective: categorizationunderstanding relevant information and turning that information into action. Unlike traditional search tools, Content Analyst technology can automatically create relevant categories based on concepts found within documents or other information sources.
In addition to automatic categorization, Content Analyst technology can create categories based on example material provided by the user. Using a document or any piece of text as an example, Content Analyst technology automatically finds similar material based on concepts within the content and places that information into a category. There is no need to create cumbersome category definitions or ontologies.

Categorization Performance

Content Analyst technology has been optimized to provide maximum performance. Running on a single, current-technology PC, Content Analyst can accurately categorize documents at a rate of more than one million per day, as demonstrated in recent benchmark tests using a 3GHz Pentium 4 PC. Subjected to an industry-standard test for automatic document categorization – the Reuters 21578 Test Set – Content Analyst technology achieved the highest rating ever reported for categorizing large amounts of material.
