Email Threading
Email threading, the collecting together of a timeline of related emails, allows reviewers and others to understand the context in which a particular conversation occurred. CAAT reconstructs email conversations, or threads, to optimize the review process. Partners can create dynamic user interfaces that make the review process easy and quick so reviewers can focus on only the "inclusive" emails and skip those that contain only redundant text.
CAAT's email threading provides options to deal with arrival of new data, and can either preserve previously computed email threads, or re-compute them anew while recording where changes were made. CAAT also provides a sophisticated inclusiveness calculation that shows the reviewer which emails can be skipped due to their content being wholly quoted in later emails. By appropriately using the inclusiveness field, reviewers can save time and effort while maintaining quality and consistency.
